Azizat earned her law degree from Crescent University, Abeokuta, and was called to the Nigerian Bar after completing her training at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ikeja Branch, and an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb).
